- Multiple shared libraries can now be instrumented and
analyzed automatically, whether they are explicitly linked or
opened dynamically with
dlopen().
- Textual reports (‑a report) are now
supported when multiple binaries are being processed.
- Binaries with GCC exceptions can now be processed.
- C++ template code and code fragmented with the ‑xF option
can now be processed.
- There is now a
bit check target
command which prints information about
target.
- Improved command-line help ( ‑h,
‑‑help )
- The default cache directory has been moved from the user's
home directory to the current working directory.
- There is a set of .bit.rc files for setting
certain parameters.
- New options include ‑O outfile, ‑T,
‑L liblist, ‑r, ‑X, ‑u,
‑k, ‑K, and ‑N ignorelib.

- The man page shipped with the product is out-of-date. The
correct one is here.
- Textual reports (‑a report) are not

- Experiments cannot be generated unless Sun Studio 12 is also
available on the system.
- Because of the two preceding items, multiple binaries cannot
be processed.
